BabyHawk Help

Just got my gorgeous new babyhawk in today, and I was so excited to try it out. I got it on with no problem, but poor DD couldn't see over the edge. Her head is completely concealed by the front panel (even with the hood part folded down). She is 5.5mo (maybe a little below average in height & weight at 15.5lbs)
She didn't like it because she couldn't see anything. She is used to being worn in a moby (hug hold), and a mesh pouch from kangaroo korner (and loves both of those).
I am so disappointed I am in love with the BH!
Do I just need to give her time to grow into it, or am I doing something wrong?
TIA

Have you tried rolling/folding up the bottom once or twice before you tie it around your waist? I had to do that with my Toddlerhawk for a while with my then 1-yr-old.

Make sure she's up nice and high against you, by bouncing and pulling on the shoulder straps after you've crossed them but before you've tied them off.

Also, you know you can flip the headrest down once it's on, right?

YAY! The combination of rolling the bottom in once and keeping the headrest folded down did the trick!! She can now easily see over the edge and is loving it!
Thank you guys so much!
Now...off to find an excuse to go somewhere so we can take our babyhawk on its inaugural outing!!
