My 18-month old DD usually sleeps 2-3 hours during her nap. However, she regularly wakes up in the middle of her nap to nurse and fall back asleep. She will do it at least once, sometimes twice or more. This has been going on for a while now... Anyone has any suggestion on how to break up that habit?
Nighttime isn't any better... I don't even count the times she wakes up and wants to nurse. Anywhere between 3-6 times.
I feel that I may have contributed to her nap problem. When she started solids, I made sure she had a good nursing session upon waking up from her naps, so that she would continue to nurse well, in addition to eating solids. After a while, she started falling back asleep during that nursing/cuddling session, and it then progressed into her waking up during her nap, wanting to nurse and then falling back asleep. It has been a gradual progression, unfortunately, in the wrong direction!!!!
I'll appreciate any suggestions, advice.
Thanks!
