Mom's of 2+

How are you adjusting to life with a new little one? How about the other kids?

My 3 year old was royally jealous in the beginning and kinda a pain in the butt lol It didn't help that I couldn't lift him because of the C section but baby will be 4 weeks tomorrow and my previous "baby" seems to finally be adjusting and getting used to the idea that he is not the baby anymore.

I feel pretty good other than feeling crazy busy! I am trying to focus on things like laundry and keeping the dishes done up and letting other things slide until I have the time. I usually do things like mop ect.. when dh is home in the evening because there are just NOT enough hours in the day!

I didn't expect to feel quite so busy with adding one new little one but I am definitely feeling it. It doesn't help that the baby likes to be cuddled 24/7 lol

My other two are adjusting well. DD1 said it really just seems like normal. DD2 has had a few issues here and there, but is really doing better than I thought. Fortunately, this LO is so laid-back, which makes things easier (oh, and doesn't SCREAM every time we get in the car like DD2 did--a definite plus!).

I'm kind of amazed at how smoothly things have gone so far, but I've found that I'm a lot busier this time, and I am missing all of the resting and bonding I did with my first two for the first couple of weeks. This time, it was back to normal a few days after she was born.

I kinda felt the same way though with the c section I did get a full week before I had to jump back in

Well, it's only been 4 days for us, and my mom & dh are both here, so so far things have been relatively easy. But I def feel my attention has suddenly been divided even further & I have to multi task even more, but that's to be expected. My olders are 21mos, 3yrs, 11yrs, plus my 18yo who lives with her dad down the street but is in & out everyday sharing with me all her friend's drama stories.

I have this huge pile of great reading material that I expected to spend more time on PP! But so far I'm either asleep or giving my attention to the flurry of activity around here. But oh well, there's plenty of time to read when I'm an old lady.

I'm still in the euphoric stage, really. But ask me again in a few weeks & I might have a different story.
