How to knit baby legs?

I have never had baby legs before, only seen pictures of them. My baby is in a mei tai pretty much all the time though, which moves his trousers up and leaves a gap. I think baby legs would be great! Has anyone got any instructions on how to knit them? Are they literally just a little tunnel, or are they wider for the upper legs? Any help is appreciated!

I would check out ravelry. Here is a pattern I found for free.

Thanks. I actually signed up for ravelry a while back, but I found the site quite tricky to navigate. Those look very cute!
