I lost my link and have been googling for an hour. Anyone have the link to the article about the flu vax not being effective on the under 2 group bookmarked?

You can try looking up the Cochrane database review articles (mostly authored by jefferson I think) and see where they got the no more effective than placebo info. I know those Cochrane database reviews usually mention it.
Also there was this piece in the BMJ also by Jefferson-
http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/333/7574/912
Not sure if those are what you are looking for since they are reviews but I think somewhere in the Cochrane database or in the BMJ piece above they probably cite the study w/ the finding of no more effective than a placebo in kids under 2.

Does this help?

you know what has always bugged me about their "flu recommendations?" or the "people for whom vaccination is recommended?"
Their list is so darn long, why don't they just tell which people should NOT get the shot? I always read their list and think to myself, "ok, now who did they leave out?" lol
The first line says "people aged 65 or more" but then the 7th line says "adults aged 50-64 years"
Is this an updated list? cause I thought they now pretty much recommend all children getting it (up through age 18, not just 59 months)
I read somewhere that if you're a green martian from outer space, you don't need to get the vaccine lol ... too true, I laughed my head off when I read that.
Here's a few more links for you;
