Thanks!

How long did you blend it the final time?

Recipe
1 bar grated Dr. B's peppermint soap. Boil until soap dissolves in three cups water. Must contstantly watch or soap will foam over. Whisk in one tablespoon olive oil and let sit over night. Soap will be semi-hard. Put in blender. Add about one cup water, one tablespoon honey and another teaspoon vit. E, and few drops tea tree and peppermint oils. Pour into jars.
how much liquid soap did this make? i was already thinking of making body care products for xmas gifts, and now i'm convinced!

I think it should fill about 6-8 soap dispensers. I did four and had some left over.

so i tried this recipe, and the soap it made was great, at first. it's been a week now, and the consistency has gotten kind of mucusy, for lack of a better word. when i pump it out, a large string of soap comes through and it's hard to separate it. i wonder if i used too much honey? i also used kirk's castille bar soap instead of dr. bronner's because it's cheaper. i wonder if this wasn't a good choice.

This is funny that you asked this! I made my second batch with Kirks and it did the same thing! I ended up putting back in the blender and added some oil and water and it seemed to take away the "mucous".

i will try to reblend it! and next time i will use dr. bronner's. it's too bad, though, kirk's is half or even a third of the price.
