So ive been cding for 3 yrs & have gone from pf to pockets & back to pf. Im thinking about making my own tie dipes has anyone ever used them? If so what did ya think? I like to go coverless & thought this would be cute & practical. Thanks!

I've tried the Disana Tie nappies and the Clover Tie Dipes on my NB - I don't have any of the aristocrats tie dipe, but I'd like to try them one day. The thing about them is that they're HUGE for a NB. And he HATES sitting still for a diaper change - snaps are difficult, prefolds with a snappi are tough, tie dipes are nearly impossible. And if you don't get them tied just right, they come off.

And the manufacturers all say that once the babe is old enough to play with the ties, not to leave them coverless, since they can easily remove their dipe and the ties are a choking hazard to boot.

Thanks for responding Cristeen. Im hoping I can handle the learning curve although dd doesnt hold still for diaper changes so that will be rough. Anyone else with experience? Anyone really like them?

Ties have been around for a very long time.
In parts of the world they are still a popular style.
If you don't mind the curve, I say go for it. IMO, I would use them over pockets anyday.
