I swear if this bout of contractions doesn't produce a baby I'm giving up. I can't take anything more painful then this! HOLY CROW this hurts. Labor started around 9 ish and my pelvis feels like it's breaking. Why did I want to do natural labor again? RRRRRAAAHHH!

mama. You can do this! Sending you gentle Baby Come Out wishes...

I'm hoping by now either your contractions have let up so you can sleep, or you're holding a baby!

What she said!

And I'm reassured to discover that I'm not the only one awake at 4 AM. How can I be so exhausted and not able to sleep!?

They eased up from "holy crap where's my epidural" to "I can sleep between the worst of them". Not alot of sleep but some. Still contracting every 5 or so. I'm going to go out for a walk and and try to waddle the baby out LOL! I'm hoping this is the real thing this time. It is the first time I couldn't sleep through them.

I think taking a walk is a good idea! Good luck Lucia! You are a birthing goddess!

Good luck with that walk. I been walking every day this week and I do get contractions when I walk and everytime after I walk I get more bloody mucus but as soon as I stop walking the contractions stop. oh well, maybe it is working to dilate me more before labor starts. *thinking hopefully*
I have to say that all this prodromal labor stuff they do NOT tell you about in birthing classes. They really should warn a girl about it!

That's one less contraction until you meet your baby!

I agree that childbirth class is a hoax. There is sooo much information that they do NOT let a woman know about!!

We actually took Bradley classes but they still didnt say anything about prodromal labor. This being my first child I had no idea that you could cramp/back ache/ bloody mucus and BH for weeks before labor starts. My mom never had any of those signs, she always just went right into labor and that was it so she wasnt any help with info either.

ITA- it is INFURIATING how nobody tells you about prodromal labour! UGH! OP- I really am hoping for you that this brings a baby. And anyone else (including me) that's having prodromal labour. Maybe we should make a big circle and send "real" labour vibes to eachother. More power in numbers, no?

Good morning fellow Prodromal labor mamas! How are you all doing this morning? Im still here. Hoping today is the day! We went out to supper with DH's family last night for BIL's birthday and I swear I heard 50 ways of "going into labor". Everything from lets go bowling to you could come help us split wood! It wasnt such a good night for my emotions thats for sure. Dont people realize that I want the baby here just as much as they do??
We took our dogs to my moms house on monday cause my midwife was positive I Would go in a day or two. Well Im still here and Im starting to feel bad about them watching the dogs so long so we are going to get them today and will probably let them hang out with me in early labor then just put them in the cage when the midwife comes. That way I dont feel under so much pressure for the baby to come. Although DH said last night as soon as we go get the dogs Ill go into labor. Yep, probably!

I had a revelation last night and had my partners rebozo my belly and jiggle the kid loose. OH SWEET RELIEF! Baby popped out of my pelvis and is now floating (actually he went transverse and got the hiccups so I could feel hiccups on either side for a while!). He's been doing a happy dance ever since LOL! Trying to encouarge him to settle back into a more comfy position for both of us, but yeah we both feel much better now!

What is rebozo? I feel your pain as well. Last night dh had to walk me to bathroom even because I couldn't even walk on my own it was so bad.

A rebozo is a mexican shawl. Mexican midwives use it to jiggle a baby into a better position for birth. I used one of my woven wraps and that worked perfectly. A sheet works too. Check out spinningbabies.com for more info on the technique. It feels SOOOOOO good
