NY judge halts mandatory flu vaccines

It's a shame this came too late for many HCWs already- at least one person I "know" from another message board had the flu shots a couple of weeks ago and was NOT happy about it.

I'm glad to see this. I've seen several employers making the vaxes a condition of employment which I think is ridiculous.

It's about time someone got a brain and decided stepping on civil liberties was a really bad idea and that this is a VERY slippery slope.

I hope that this decision has come before it's too late I worked in a hospital years ago, and was also told it was a Mandatory shot- if I refused I would lose my job. I was lucky enough to had a dr. that knew how badly I react to the flu shot. My employer still threatened to fire me, and I had to contact a lawyer to interfere. It's just apaling how many hospitals have gotten away with this kind of practice. While I'm happy for this decision, I still think that many other health care workers are at risk.
