I didn't even see that you'd had him already! Congrats! And who says that isn't a real smile...looks like one to me. DS smiled "for real" when he was just a couple of weeks old. Was giggling like a maniac by 2 months.

i guess i meant it isn't "intentional", but it's still cute!

Aww!! He's adorable!!

I can't wait til Ethan smiles in response to something that I've done... But for now, I'll take what I can get. Here's my little guy about a week ago: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...x/100_1777.jpg Haven't got one on film since...

So cute!

I caught 2 REAL smiles yesterday. He looked me in the eyes and smiled, then smiled again a few seconds later, still looking at me. Nada since. It was sooooo sweet! Can't wait to see him do it again!

I love these, don't care what the cause is.

Particularly when I can attribute it to mischievousness... like when he spits up all over me requiring a change of clothes for him, me and a mopping of the floor... and then immediately grins. LOVE IT!

So adorable - and I LOVE dimples!!!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I don't think people give tiny babies enough credit. I DO think they do some smiling on purpose. I mean, maybe not INTENTIONALLY, but something makes them FEEL happy, and so they smile. They don't have to 'learn' to frown, right? Smiling is just as natural as frowning, imo.

Well I thought I was crazy because Emmeline started smiling AT me, seemingly ON prupose at about a week old. It was/is mostly after a good nap and when I am talking and smiling at her while I change her diaper. She doesn't smile at the ceiling fan or out the car window - it's AT me when I am smiling and talking to her. So I asked my midwife and she said she's seen babies smile that young and that I am not crazy. None of my other babies smiled so early, and if someone told me a baby could smile so young, I would have shrugged it off to gas or whatever, but seriously, she smiles on purpose...

This was at 2 weeks old: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...e&id=500490579

LOVE these pictures, girls!
