Hi mamas, DD was born at 2:30 this morning. She was just latched on for an hour and twenty minutes! She nursed each side for about 20 min each then spent the rest of the time switching back and forth for a few more drops. She still wants more but right now DH is walking her to keep her calm while I ask for advice! Is there anything I can do? My toddler nursed up until yesterday, will this make my body take longer to realize it needs to make milk again? Help please!

Keep letting her nurse as much as she wants - you're doing great! Baby knows that's how to bring more milk in. Just ignore anyone telling you that baby shouldn't nurse that much or you don't have enough milk for her. They obviously don't know how milk or babies work!!!
As long as baby has one big pee and one poop in her first 24 hours of life (and 2 in the second 24 hours, etc) then you know things are good!
Kellymom has some great info here if you have time to look

I am a tandem mama and really it's normal
The more you LET her nurse the faster it will come in. My second was in the NICU and not able to nurse for 12 hours and I think the lack of stimulation delayed my milk because it took 4 days to come in!!! But when it did come in it REALLY came in. My toddler was happy to help with the engorgement though!
The first days are the hardest, hang in there!

Congratulations!
And lucky you to have such a great nurser!
I agree with the other ladies- you're doing great! Let her nurse as long as she wants/ as much as you can handle and don't worry about how much she's getting. Newborns have a really high suck need for a few reasons- only one of which is to get food!
