Oh, sweet Jolly

Jocelyn is seven weeks old! I can't believe how time has slipped away. She is my last baby and I really have been enjoying every little thing she throws my way. I feel so blessed to be her mother, to get the opportunity to mother a girl, especially THIS girl.

She does not smile often, yet. Only I have been able to sneak peeks of her little upturned lips, and it warms my heart. I am in no hurry for her to do these things, I want the minutes to sneak by, not fly.

She really is a sweet, laid back little thing. She rarely fusses or cries. She is just content with life.

12 pounds of sweet, delicious baby. Life is good. Oh, so good.

I'm trying to soak up as many little baby moments as I can too. Aren't those little smiles the best?!

I'm enjoying the little moments here as well. I remember always wanting to reach the next milestone with my first... this time, the milestones can wait. I'm just living for the moment. I haven't even had a tearful moment of frustration when he's irritable. I pick him up and cuddle him constantly, and I even cherish the middle of the night wakeful times as I know they will soon be gone.

Gavin is my last baby, too (biological anyway) and I *SO* hear you on everything you just wrote!! And he's so snuggly, he's my first baby that has been able to full-time co-sleep (Ian didn't like it, and Connor wasn't healthy enough to safely co-sleep until he was about 4 months old) so snuggling with him at night is just wonderful for me!!
