Laid back about EC this time

and so far it's really fun!
I EC'ed ds1, but started a bit late (3-4 mos, maybe). I took it too seriously, and ended up getting frustrated when he didn't go, and it just became too much work for both of us. He stopped pottying, and we just stopped altogether.

With ds2, I wasn't going to do it at all. Not because I didn't like it, I just hadn't really considered it. Then he started pooping on the change table, like he preferred to go there. That got me thinking about it again. So I got an Ikea little potty, and wouldn't you know it- he seems to really like going in it!
We've had tons of catches in the last couple weeks. Even when we don't catch anything, he still seems to really like the scenery from his little potty. lol.

So this time, we're just doing it part time, whenever I feel like it. And only when it's fun for both of us My main motivation is so he stays in a dry diaper longer. I try to change at every pee, but I'm sure there are times he pees right after a change, and I don't think to check his diaper that soon. Oh, and I'm also motivated by the fun of it all

That's really neat! I was thinking recently that if I have a second child, it will most likely be different and I will have learned how to be laid back about it! I hope! It really can be fun, and it really can be frustrating! I'm glad to hear about your EC fun!

EC'ing is actually one of the main reasons I look forward to having another child. I've heard so many stories like that, of mamas who have such an easier time with it the second time around.
