help picking movie for party TOMORROW

We are moving my daughter's birthday party inside due to weather, and I need to pick a movie to rent or buy by about noon tomorrow, preferably sooner. The alternate location is an apartment complex movie theater.

What would you pick for about 10 girls and 5 boys ranging in age from 4 to 9?

I am thinking the Hannah Montana Movie, which DD has not seen and will enjoy. Will the boys think that is OK?

I was going to say Hannah Montana. No clue about the boys though. Another one they might enjoy is Monsters vs. Ailens. I hated it but my daughter LOVED it.

Miyazaki? Some are better for younger kids than others...
(Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, he also produced The Cat Returns)

His movies are great, if you don't know who he is, check out wikipedia on him

Hanna Montana definitely has a reputation as a 'girls' movie. Depending on how old the boys are, they may not be too happy.

Other suggestions:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (or the older version Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory)
Charlotte's Web
Nim's Island
Wall-E
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
The Incredibles (might be a bit violent for the younger viewers, depends on what they've seen)

Classics such as:
Snow White
Fantasia
The Shaggy Dog

I'm a big fan of anything Pixar.

I would suggest any of of the "Buddy" movies. Can't go wrong with cute dogs.

I would say anything Pixar, but I also liked the suggestion of a Willy Wonka/Charlie movie. It could be a fun theme, with candy, etc.

I asked both my 5 and 10 year old boys if they'd be ok seeing Hannah Montana at a party and they both said "No Way!" lol Lots of good suggestions above. I would probably go with a Pixar movie or maybe Night at the Museum.

Thanks! I will review your wise replies and make a final decision in the morning, but no Hanna. I might get it for a gift and do a double feature if anyone wants to stay.

Depending on the kids you're inviting, I don't know that I'd choose Charlotte's web. We just finished reading the book (and then watching the movie) with 4YO DD, and had a lot of conversations about death and about killing animals for food. Don't know if you want to open that can of worms with other people's kids!

Good luck with the indoor party. I hope your daughter has a wonderful day!

Scooby Doo movies? We have a movie night every other Saturday and we usually rent Scooby Doo movies, these parties are for kids from 5 to 9 and mostly boys. Pretty much everyone likes Scooby Doo, it's not too scary, usually funny, and the plot will keep the older kids interested. It goes with the whole Halloween is coming time of year. My seven year old son vetoed the Hannah Montanna movie, though he watched with his cousin.

Monsters vs. Aliens is a good choice too. Good luck with the party! Happy birthday to your daughter!
