I just purchased some custom cloth diapers for dd (she has a urinary diversion) and I spent a good bit on having them made. The girl that made them didn't have a serger, but assured me that they should be fine. They looked great when I got them and fit perfectly, but after the first wash, they are fraying around most of the edges.
They are not too bad yet, but I don't want to wash them again until I get them "fixed" is possible. She said I could send them back and she would work on them, but that seems a little pointless. Do you think it would work if I just had someone go around all the edges with a serger? I don't really care what they look like at this point, but I need them to hold together. I don't really sew, so I'm clueless. Is there a better option? Anyone have any advice?

I spoke with a lady at my church today that has offered to work on them. I really like the idea of putting some kind of border around the edges, so I think we will try that. If for some reason she falls through I will let you know.
