Can you steam almond or rice milk?

I've been looking at warm winter drinks, and some of them call for steamed milk. As I'm trying to cut out milk (abet slowly) i was wondering if i can make drinks that called for steamed milk by using almond or rice milk. I would also consider using soy, but for drinking i much, MUCH prefer teh taste of rice or almond milks.

Thanks

I steam rice milk every day for a latte in the mornings. It's a bit thin, and the the froth is not as substantial as cow's milk but I like it OK. Soy froths better, but now I am avoiding it most of the time because it interferes with my thyroid.

I've steamed almond milk and hemp milk for coffees as well. Works OK. I thought the almond was a bit gritty, but it's been awhile. Chocolate Soy Dream froths very well.

yeah - in regards to soy - i have hypothyrodism - so i try to avoid it if i can - cause i'm not sure if soy is ok - and if so - what forms of soy are ok - ya know?

I guess first i need to find a steamer/frother before i can try either milk! LOL
