I am close to Spokane and am also looking for a medical facility that can install a picc line for me. Have been tested positive by Igenex and Pharmasan Labs and am going into my second year of this ride. Not fun at all. There should be a holistic therapy or health place in the Spokane area that can deal with it. I live in southern British Columbia in Princeton where there have been at least half a dozen that I know of! Dr. Ross in Seattle can help you if you have no luck 2069320880. I have a lyme doctor in Vancouver,BC but our health care system here will not allow the picc line install unless you have cancer! Go figure eh!!!

Sorry I can't offer much new info, just support.  My hubby has been sick for 10 years and was just diagnosed about 3 mths ago and started treatment end of last month.  We're in Idaho Falls and ended up being diagnosed by a podiatrist (he's the premier Lyme specialist in the area because he and his daughter have it, so he educated himself and started a campaign to educate others).  We ended up having to go to Colorado Springs for treatment (podiatrists license doesn't cover treatment) and I know they install picc lines.  If you want the info for Colorado Springs, I'd be happy to provide it.

I was not aware of Lyme disease being prevalent in the Spokane WA & Idaho areas??

When you look at a map it is mainly in the New England areas.

Is it growing in this area?

Is there a way to prevent it?

Are people getting it from being in the woods or what, how exactly?

My hubby got it in a different state, but according to the doc that did our testing in Idaho it is far more prevalent outside the New England area than initially believed but it's not getting caught because no one is being told to test for it.  His daughter has Lyme's, but they caught it early because HE has Lyme's (only diagnosed 2 yrs ago after he was sick for more than 20 yrs) and recognized the symptoms.

I have symptoms of fibro, lupus, and sjorgens. I have a number of ffriends who think I have lyme instead. Just watched "under our skin" so I would be interested in seeing a lyme literate doctor. I would prefer natural remedies.

Our doctor uses pharm meds, but MommyEli is a practitioner that doesn't use pharmos.  Whatever anyone does, do NOT buy The Tick Slayer by Perry Fields.  It's just a gimmick and it's poorly written and edited.  If you want the treatment she talks about in a usable format, you have to go back to the site and buy her pamphlet for $30 which is the same cost of the book and most of the stuff she talks about is way out of the reach of your typical person.  I wrote her a admittedly sarcastic review and she wrote back a nasty email.

Can I have info on the Colorado doc?  We believe my husband has had undiagnosed Lyme for 18 years, and have family in CO, so it's a possible treatment location.

Sorry, haven't been ignoring you! I've been out of town for a month and will be for several more weeks, so everything is off. We ended up stopping treatment- my hubby is too sensitive to the meds and they were speeding up his decline. I don't remember the clinic name, but will look it up and give you the contact info as soon as I find it. Your hubby will need to get his testing done first- they'll only accept him on referral.
