Buying whole grains in bulk

I am thinking of buying whole grains in bulk if I can find some locally. Does anyone here do that? How much extra work is it to grind into flour, make bread or pasta? What else can you make with them? What kind of grains do you get? Is it hard and time consuming? What are the costs involved? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to cooking but I am trying to learn.

It's like anything-you just have to get used to it. I pick and choose. I hate homemade pasta, so I buy that. I love homemade bread, so I make that. It's more work, but I feel the benefits are worth it.

Grinding your own flour is great health-wise, but a hassle. I am all for it though! And wheat berries last forever, so that's handy. Once you get in the groove of grinding and baking, it's actually fun. Give it a try! Well, a few tries! It might take a bit of time to learn. You can do it though!
