She is Here! Born this morning at 7:13am at home. My labor started really strong at 1:00am and I timed contractions til 2:30 til I couldnt handle them on my own anymore and woke DH up. He called the midwife and my contractions were at 5-7 minutes apart and 1/2 hour later they were at 3-5 minutes apart. The midwife got here at around 5:30 I think and i was 9-1/2 cm. My contractions were really strong and it was a very intense labor but very fast!
Kianna is 7# 2 oz and beautiful. She was perfect! I on the other hand wasnt stopping bleeding so we ended up in the emergency room. Had a very RUDE OB dr who stuck his whole fist in my vag 1/2 hour after I gave birth!! Then yelled at me for jumping. I ended up having a pretty bad inside tear that they had to give me a spinal block and put me to sleep in order to stitch it back. I am very sore now and really swollen but finally home!! Honestly waiting for the spinal block to wear off and trying to pee when you cant feel your girly parts was harder then birth. I still cant believe I had my baby AT HOME!!P
UPDATE**
Everything is going well! Kianna is sleeping 4 and 5 hours at a time between nursing! Woo hoo! Im one happy mama! Nursing is going well but im still really sore, thankfully my milk came in yesterday so hopefully the soreness will go away soon.
I am still really sore on my bottom. The swelling has went down and now i can feel the stitches inside. Everyday I can move just a little bit more and more. I am really glad DH took the week off cause I dont think i could have managed without him. The first of the week I was using lots of frozen pads and ice packs to get the swelling down and now I am taking lots of baths in Sitz herbs to get the sting out of the stitches.
Im really struggling mentally with the fact that I am terrified of giving birth again. Not because of the birth, the birth was amazing. It was fast and intense but I cant really say it was painful. I had some moments of I cant do this but I never wanted to go in for pain meds. Its the tearing of the vagina and the fear of tearing again that has me worried. The recovery from the inside tearing has been much worse then labor. I am sad that i cant look back and have a pleasant recovery.
