Weekly Chit Chat October 18th-25th - Page 2

39 week appt. today. Not a whole lot to report. We didn't do an internal check because there isn't really any point since I will be having this baby on Thursday. I'm feel so overwhelmed by life in general and my OB asked if I was depressed and/or stressed. Interesting she was able to tell.

I'm sitting here minding my own business and it feels like there is bile coming up my throat... What gives? I haven't even eaten or had anything to drink in well over an hour. The little one is wriggling around up under my ribs and I've been having to go #2 a TON today, which I attribute to my iron supplements.

I know I'm close to the end, but I'm so ready for this to be over with.

TIFF4NY- I get the lone contraction at bed time. It usually happens as I'm laying down or when I'm changing position.

Nature- Wow, you are getting close! Hopefully you make it to your date so you don't get stuck having a baby on the side of the highway

I had one of my pre-labor emotional break downs today. I was watching The Iron Giant with DS and I was SOBBING at the end! Even just thinking about the end up that movie makes me want to cry. Gotta love the hormones

Cool - do you download these from the website?

Yea I was able to go to their website and download them. I listened to a couple when I laid down to bed last night and wound up not even realizing when the track was over until something else came on. I guess I was relaxed!

I am due officially on Friday (mw gave me an extra day). I have not had an internal exam but I keep feeling weird twinges in my nether regions. And I occasionally get shooting pains in my hip joint areas, but those have been going on for awhile. I'm thinking of trying to DTD tonight but the constipation and gas pressure I've been experiencing make me want to avoid it. Ugh. I hate iron pills but my mw insists I need to stay on them because I'm still anemic (my iron has gone up, just not enough -- you'd think that she would think of trying something else at this point).
Oh, and our anniversary is the 25th. I actually don't want it that day because I want the baby to have his own special day (with my and dh's birthdays close to Christmas and ds's the day after Valentine's, we have enough birthdays that compete with other things already).

I'm 40 and 1 now and recovering from the flu, so I'm glad the baby held off for a few days. I originally guessed tomorrow as the day the baby would come, but I'm kind of hoping she waits until Friday now which gives me a few more days to rest up. Today is the first day I can even imagine trying to deal with labor on top of the flu, but I think I'll be a much more effective labor-er in a day or two.

It does seem like so many babies have been born already that it's got to happen soon for us!

Why is this thread so quiet?? Entertain me!

So this afternoon/evening I've had quite a lot of contractions, a lot more mucus and I've been running to the bathroom a lot too. I don't think anythings gonna happen tonight, but something is sure happening in there!

You should go for a really loooong walk, come home and DTD. Maybe that will encourage baby to come! It worked for me.

Because there is only like, 5 of us left

At least you're having some labor signs! I haven't had much happening at all. I walked all day, baby is still high up, but at least she's ROA now instead of posterior.

i'm still here too. 40w + 4d. it was my bday (10/21) so i was really active today plus DTD and now the Phillies are going to the World Series (again!) and.....nothing. the baby's like "eh, i need a world championship to come out" LOL

ah well, as long as he's out by/on halloween, it's all good (i guess)

DH and I weren't in the mood for DTD so instead I had him insert a few EPO into me because I couldn't reach myself. LoL. I'm so grateful to have a husband that works in the medical field. He's totally not phased by anything.

I did a bunch of house chores today... I went to load the dishwasher and ended up scrubbing down the kitchen sink and surrounding area. I'm hoping my burst of energy towards nesting helps jumpstart things down low. I feel little things here and there so I'm hoping something is happening.

I believe my belly has dropped. I now have this little pouch of skin just under my belly and my belly button is a little bit deeper again. It had just barely started to stretch out on the bottom and now it folds in again. Also, I noticed that the weight of my belly dropping has smooshed my pubic area and it looks extremely swollen. This freaked me out at first glance until I put the two things together. Once I lifted my belly back up to where it was, all looked normal again.

Crud, am I the furthest along? 41w 4 days! If the baby arrives today he'll have cooked as long as his brother did. If I birth on friday I will have gestated longer then I ever have before . Lots of menstual like cramps and many contractions tonight. I had a really good chiropractic appt and my back feels fab and now i'm contracting alot!

StephM76: I have an anterior placenta too. I know babe's posterior, I can feel every kick and jab right up front . Spinning babies is our friend

DARN IT! I just realized the date! I waited too long and now I'm having a scorpio! ANOTHER CUSP BABY! ACK! Every one of my babies has been a cusp baby. The twins are july 22, and DS is Nov 26th. I have enough water signs in the fam... I was really hoping for a libra! Looks like I'm the only air in the family (gemini) *pout*

I thought Scorpio starts on the 23rd! It's still the 21st where I live.

Hm, a scorpio eh? There are good things about that sign but most male Scorpios I've met are strange. Oh well, maybe that's because I'm a Sag!

I've been hoping for a Libra too- I have NEVER liked any of the scorpios I've met.
Scorpio starts the 23rd so there is still one more day to have a Libra baby!
