Yes! As I was slowly waking up this morning I was thinking to myself how much more I'm sleeping in and taking longer naps during the day. I'm just basically a big old blob when we're not forcing ourselves to go do something. Might as well enjoy it while we can!

My partner and I were hoping he'd be able to get leave from Afghanistan around the time babe was due, but no such luck. So, it's just me, my midwives, MIL and a good friend of mine. So, little dude can get his butt out here. Tomorrow is the "due date".

I'm sorry to hear your DP can't come home for the birth
I am glad to hear that you'll have loving support people with you for the birth though! Hopefully he'll be able to get some leave sometime soon? Does he have access to skype or any other kind of video chat so he can say Hello to you and the baby soon after he arrives?

My DP very luckily has a reprieve from flying right now (he's Air Force -- flies on C-5 cargo missions downrange to Afghanistan and is usually gone 2 or 3 weeks out of the month) but he'll have to start back up 2 weeks after the kiddo comes.

Hang in there and I hope your little dude shows up soon!

We're not sure when he's going to get leave. As of right now, the word going around in sometime in February. He does have internet in his tent, and we can webcam - so atleast he'll be able to see the little guy when he arrives.

And right now my MIL is driving me batty. She's constantly calling me, asking me if I'm in labor. Telling me I need to go into labor, etc. etc. I didn't answer her phone call this afternoon because I was just about to fall to sleep for a nap, and guess who pops open my door 15 minutes later? Seriously!? She opened the door, saw I was sleeping on the couch, and then left.

I hope she feels really stupid. I know that sounds horrible, but she's driving me insane with her constant calling and checking up on me. I've told her time and time again, that I will let her know when I go into labor.

I'm curious to see if she'll mention stopping by the next time she calls me. If she does, I'm really going to have to get the message across to her that I need her to calm down otherwise I won't be having her here for the birth. If she's this anxious and worried now, how is she going to handle it when I'm in labor?

Goodluck, Steph!!

I've been having mildly crampy contractions for 6 hours now. I think prodromal labor has got to be the hardest part of this whole ordeal. I went through several days of it with my last, and it seems like I'm following the same pattern this time. This is day 3, with 6 hours being the longest stint so far...

I really hope February is it, or sooner!!!

As for your MIL, I'm rolling my eyes on your behalf! Because surely ordering you to go into labor is going to make it happen right now. Sheesh!!!
