forgetting how to latch?

My DD, 23 mos, is an avid nurser, but today, it is like she's totally forgotten how to latch. She is not latching with her mouth far enouhg on the nipple and so is just sucking on the tip of my nipples, which after trying to get her to nurse properly all day, have become bruised and scabbed, like she was a new born. I explained to her that she needs to put the nipple FAR back in her mouth and have her in different positions, but none of it seems to help.
I've had to stop nursing temporarily because it's just making my nipples wrecked and I don't want to stop nursing for a prolonged period of time, so i"m taking a day or so to heal.
But, we're not ready to wean yet and I was planning on CLW. I don't think she's trying to wean. I also asked her if it hurts to nurse (due to her molars coming in) which she calmly said "no". So, i don't think it's that...
I don't know how to encourage her to latch properly, or what to do now... any suggestions?

Thanks....

my 2 year old did that when getting her molars. I told her she needed to nurse right because she was hurting mommy. She caught on. Now if I ask her to stop for any reason she says "ouch, mama nursers hurt!" lol. Anyway, it should pass soon

Ouch! My 18 month old has had a lazy latch lately, and one thing that has helped him is teaching him to say "ahhhh" and then quickly pulling him to me and on correctly. When he latches himself it isn't nearly as deep.
