We have a king sized bed, however there are 4 of us in this bed...we have always co-slept...DP grew up co-sleeping with his siblings...so he is A-OK with the set up....however...mama here! Has had it! My main concern is my 5y/o kicks and tosses and turns and bats his arms all over the bed...last night alone it woke me at least 5+ times...his constant movement wakes the 1 y/o who then wants to nurse...all the while DP is snoring away which then makes it harder for mama to fall back asleep. I'm wondering if there is something in 5y/o diet that is triggering this sudden movement through out the night!
We have tried a twin mattress on the floor for 5y/o...that worked great until..my DP said he didnt like the mattress on the floor all the time..
I'm to the point where i'm considering making my own bedroom with my 1y/o.
I want to be able to sleep with my DP, but being int he middle of the 2 children makes for a non-sleepable night. Putting the kids besdie each other doesnt work either....cause it wakes the baby....any suggestions?
