Hello from GA, are dad's allowed?

36 year-old 2nd time dad here from GA... 1st son pass away after being in the NICU for 8 weeks, we just adopted a newborn who is now 8 weeks old.

Are dad's allowed on the mothering forum?

Found the sight because of the vaccine forums, currently doing the research, had read a couple of books and came online and found this place almost immediately.... poked around for a bit and decided to sign up.

i am not sure about fathers being here but i am in GA as well. Sorry to hear about your son but serious congrats on adoption. I was adopted myself at 7 months. i am often told it is a difficult and long process.

I claim to be from Tennessee . I grew up in Dalton, GA, but my whole family was in Chattanooga... I graduated from UTK back in 1996.

Thanks for the condolences, it was a tough 8 weeks, but I got to do a lifetime of parenting in those 8 weeks and got to know him, it was tough, but it also made me who I am today.

Welcome to MDC! I've been seeing more and more Dads lately and I think it's awesome! Glad you are here. I wondered about the TN connection when I saw your username. I lived in the Nashville area for awhile.

I am also sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like your time together was beautiful.

Congratulations on your new baby! How wonderful!

I've found MDC to be a wonderful resource for many things. My DH is on here too. There is an adoption forum on these boards as well.
