Night schedule needs fixed!

DS started waking at night to pee!! He started that about 2 weeks ago, not every night, but most. He goes to bed at 9 and wakes up around 12:30, then makes it until about 6-7 absolutely DRY!!! It's awesome!!

Problem is, he will usually go back to bed no problem at 12:30, but the 2nd time he wakes up is tough. He doesn't NEED milk, but I've been giving it to him to get him to calm down and increase the chances of him going back to sleep(a bad habit I would like to nip). Just last week he was sleeping until 10am with no milk or anything overnight. I keep lights dim, don't talk much, etc. and he still gets all excited and wants to stay up! If he does fall back asleep, it's usually for less than an hour and then he wants to get up. He's not ready though, if we get up he's EXTREMELY fussy.

Any advice for what to do to help him realize it's still night time??

My dd is 11 mos and I don't have any advice on this...just semi-hijacking the thread and subbing in the hopes someone will have wise words. We've been ec'ing since birth and for probably the last 8 months 99% of ournights are dry... because I give pottytunities every time dd wakes to nurse. This has been working all rightbut I'm ready to start getting more sleep.

How does the no-cry sleep solution fit in with ec?

Op: I'm stumped! It seems like it's a choice between ec and sleep. Help!
