Failed costume :(

Yesterday was my last full day to sew my sons Halloween costume, he was going to be a mummy. Well everything started great and I thought it would be finished by nightfall and everything would be good. So then when he tried on his "mummy" shirt, he got stuck in it and well I had to cut 7 hours worth of sewing off him. So does anyone have any costume ideas on what is EASY and takes less than a few hours of sewing? We are going to the in-laws on Saterday to do "Halloween" with them so it has to be finished and ready to wear by then. Thanks in advance!

I made a mummy costume once out of long johns and old curtains.I stained the white curtains with coffee and ripped then into strips and then if I remember right,I think I just wrapped him up(after he put the long johns on).I did hand sew some of the strips to a hat because there was no way he was going to let me wrap up his head.

Can you lace up the part where you cut it open?? and then wrap some extra bandages around to make it less noticable??

Buy a bunch of cheap muslin and cut it into strips. Shred them, stain them, etc.. Wash a few times for a scraggly effect! You'll have to untangle, of course. Have him wear all white, and wrap him up, using safety pins to secure the strips in place.
