I am having issues with storing baked goods. With sweet breads and muffins the tops never stay hard/crunchy, after putting them in either plastic bags, foil, plastic wrap, or tupperwares they become soft, sometimes sticky, on top. They still taste good but they aren't as good as they are fresh from the oven. Am I doing something wrong or is that just the way it is. And with cookies they also end up soft if they are ment to be crunchy or hard if they are ment to be soft. It all gets eaten anyway just thought I would check to see if there is another way.

That's just the way it is.
If things like cookies or crackers go soft when they should be crunchy, a few minutes in the oven will solve that.
If they go hard when they should be soft, close them up in a plastic bag with half an apple, they'll soften up overnight.
But for things like cake or quick breads that go soggy/sticky... I have yet to find a solution to that. That's just what wrapping it in plastic does. Most of hte time I just cover with a towel, and leave it on the counter. It needs to be eaten quicker that way, but I prefer the texture of slightly stale to that soggy/sticky texture.
