Chicago pediatricians

I'm due to have my first child, a boy, in early January and need to find a pediatrician. I would love to find one who won't hassle me about the fact that my son won't be circumcised and who can present objective information about vaccines. North Side of the city preferred.

Thanks!

Dr Fred Ettner in Evanston. Family practice rather than a ped but he is fantastic.

Thanks for the Evanston recommendation, but I should clarify that I live in the city, so Evanston is a bit of a hike. I'm in Lake View.

I also found a few old threads on the topic but hope others will please chime in with their recommendations, as there's only one doctor in the city who was recommended in those threads, and she was not taking new patients as of earlier this year.

We see Dr. Kamala Ghaey at Kidz Health. They have offices at Diversey & Sheridan which would be the closest to you. She also has three partners in the practice. Two of them are new so I can't speak to them. The other one, Dr. Jankelow is European so I am *sure* she won't have any issues with your son not being circumcised.

Dr. Ghaey and Dr. Jankelow are not exactly rah-rah pro delayed & selective vaccination (which is what I'm doing) but neither do they guilt me about it. I just say which ones I want and sign the waiver for the rest.

We're in Lakeview too & I can second that Fred Ettner in Evanston is well worth the trip. If you take the Red Line to Howard, the #201 bus will drop you right at St Francis/his office. We love love love him!

Hello,

I know this is from a while ago, but is Dr. Ettner open to alternative vaccination schedules?  Thanks

Hello,

I know that this is from a while ago, but was wondering if Dr. Ettner is okay with delayed and selected vaccination schedules?  Thanks
