Classroom Discipline

Anyone familiar with Marvin Marshall and the democratic, cooperation, bossing/bullying, anarchy classroom discipline model? They are using it at the kids' school so I wanted to find out more about it.

just came across this author and then came onto mdc to do more research and i found this one dated post that was started.  i will bump in case there anyone is familiar with the approach.  anyone?

I've seen it a bit. Positive giving direction and modeling, a focus on responsibilities rather than rules, correction where the student takes part in the problem solving.

Sounds a bit like the Collaborative Problem Solving method used by Dr. Ross Greene.  He wrote a book called Lost at School that is fantastic, but the audience is more for teachers.  I think he also wrote one for parents but I don't know what it is called.
