Breastfeeding and vitamins

I know your child gets some of the vitamins/ect.. that you take while breastfeeding but does anyone know how much? I'm taking my multi and some immune boosting things and am wondering if I should or should not give my 2 yr old her own. I have been giving her her own vitamins and an immune system booster but just starting wondering if she's getting too much. None of these things will do harm if she gets more. Do you give your nursling their own vitamins/supplements?

I only give my 9-month-old vitamin D (we can't get much sun where we live) and I skipped it most of the summer & now only give it to him when we definitely won't get outside for a couple days. Other than that, no vitamins. I'm on the fence with supplements in general but if I were to give him any other vitamins I would probably start giving them once he was mostly weaned. Until then I figure mama's milk is his dose of vitamins!

A lot of vitamins I take go into my breast milk so I dont give DD any vitamins at this time. I give her Vit D every day because we live in Canada. I give her vitamin C when she is sick and thats pretty much it.

Thanks. That's kind of what I was thinking. The only other thing is that she pretty much only nurses for a few minutes at nap and bedtime. So I don't know if she's getting much milk and the vitamins that would be in it.

Yeah maybe at that point I would consider giving vitamins... You could always start with half doses and then once she weans completely up it to full doses...
