Best Nighttime Option (Sposie or Cloth?)

What have you found to be the best nighttime diaper? I don't care the price. If it is a certain sposie, that is fine too. I just want something that will make it all night without soaking my bed and his pj's.

Depends on the baby! What is the problem? Heavy wetting? Sensitive skin? Spurting out the side?

We had sensitive skin issues so mostly have had to go plastic at night, but for leaking one particular way it's more a stuffing issue than a brand issue.

The Super Do Insert inside a pocket has worked great for so many! One friend uses a Super Do inside a Thirsties AIO Pocket, we'll sometimes use it in a Pocket or the Dry Bees Fleece. I also find it helps putting fleece pants on.

He leaks out the side.. probably from heavy wetting?

What are you using now? Is the whole diaper saturated when it leaks, or is just one area wet?

My mostly-bullet-proof night time diaper is a FuzziBunz stuffed with 3 inserts or a premium prefold (this is for my 2yo). A prefold tucked in a Thirsties Duo Wrap works well, too. If the legs aren't fitted well (which sometimes happens on sized FBs) and he's in a particular position, he will pee straight out the side. But, that's rare for us. I find the one-size FBs to be much better at fitting in the leg so as to avoid leaks.

I am using sposies now at night (Kirkland brand) and almost always have a pee spot on my bed in the morning. The diaper is not soaked, just the front "pee holder" is full/heavy. The leaks seem to be coming from his leg opening.. because sometimes it just happened and his leg is still wet, but I assumed it just did that because the "pee holder" was full. We never have leaks during the day in the Kirkland (or prefolds, for that matter).
I am willing to try an other sposie or cloth. Right now I am in between cloth sizes (my prefolds/covers just stopped fitting) So I am going to be ordering some new cloth- probably some AIOs and Pockets.

When my son was a heavy wetter, I used Pampers with a disposable diaper doubler (I hadn't yet tried cloth). The doublers are sold at some drug stores and sometimes I see them at Babies R Us. It's basically a huge maxi pad with no adhesive.

My dd could pee out of 2 sposies in her heyday. This is the only thing that worked for us and kept her comfortable and dry: a Green Acre Designs one-size semi-fitted stuffed with 3 inserts (1 microfiber and 2 hemp), snappied on, with a Dancing Bears fleece soaker.

The only thing that held ds1 was pullups.

For ds2, he's not really a heavy wetter, but we've had leaks at night even with sposies (same as you- the front was soaked, the back was dry, but still it leaked).
I've used Drool Bucket Baby multi size fitteds under fleece jammies with great success. I was concerned about the staydry factor until I realized that his skin felt wet even in sposies. It doesn't seem to bother him either way.

Last night was a success, after trying something new! I got a Happy Hempys, stuffed with a FuzziBunz insert that a friend gave me, with a Thirsties cover. Worked like a charm! I will have to pick up some more Happy Hempys soon - the Happy Heinys retail store is about 25 minutes from my house, and all their products are 15% off retail!

I was a sposie for us.

I use a triple-stuffed fuzzi bunz for DD...1 microfiber (closest to baby) and 2 hemp. For DS, I used to use a Little Beetles Hemp Original, extra microfiber doubler (under a silk liner to protect his skin), all under an Aristocrats wool soaker.

I use Bum Genius on my 21 month old son. I use a regular insert and then another 'newborn' insert folded in half at the front in his 'pee spot'. He sleeps 12 hours and hasnt yet woken up with wet PJ's. Im new to CD world and was more than sceptical about using CD at night, infact it took me a long time to even dare to try. Im impressed though, even our 'sposies leaked sometimes.

pocket diaper and wool cover

I made all my own pocket dipes with PUL outside and fleece inside. At night I double stuff them with microfiber inserts and then I put a wool cover over it, all under the fleece jammies.

I find that this way, even if she over wets and starts to leak out the wool cover saves the jammies and bed, it's great!

I actually swear by wool. We even made a bunch of recycled wool sweater pants for the winter just for the leaking reason. Mostly I wanted to be able to go out shopping or to a friends house or have her take a nap and not worry that she was leaking if it had been a while. Wool is a miracle worker!!
