Birth Plans/Preferences: would love a home birth but dh is not comfortable with it. But hopefully I can have a labor that is not agumented in anyway. Both of my children have been inductions, laid flat in a hospital bed. With the oldest I had pre-e and she was 9 lbs 3.3 oz. With Emma, dr.s were affraid she would weigh 10 but ended up 8lb 15oz.

Anything else you'd like to share didn't intent on the huge gap in age from the middle to youngest, but it took Dh to decide if he was done or not. lol

Birth Plans/Preferences: I'm a homebirth midwife myself who tried for a hospital birth the first time around but ended up with pitocin and a vaginal birth after 36 hours. I would love this one to be a bit shorter and preferable a homebirth!!
Anything else you'd like to share: Even though I am a midwife, I am on here as just a mom, I need an outlet where I stop trying to be my own midwife and just be a woman. Thanks for this.

Hey, I changed my due date (based on lots of thought regarding when conception probably actually took place) to the 19th of July. It's totally arbitrary so you don't have to change it if you don't want to, but I just thought if you wanted, you could put me into the July 19th list. :P

Hi guys!
My husband, Greg, and I (both 38) are new to Northern California's Gold Country (formerly of Southern California) and our son, Oliver Finn, is due July 9th. He is our first (and will likely be our only) child. He's got a condition (esophageal atresia - an incomplete esophagus) that will require him to have surgeries after birth so we won't get to bring him home right away. It also causes me to have way more amniotic fluid than is normal so the chances of him coming early are pretty high. I really want a natural birth (could still happen) and was so psyched to have him try the breast crawl (not going to happen), but his condition has shaken up the plans a bit so we're playing it by ear. I am thinking about having a doula to make things a little less stressful. I'm glad to have found the forums after reading Mothering mag throughout the pregnancy.

Baby Girl Due the 12th

Hi! I've just discovered the Due Date part of the forum. I don't really post that much on here, but here goes.

I'm due with my third child July 12th. A girl!! yay! i'm beside myself with joy about that.

I have two boys, 7 and nearly 3. My first two pregnancies and deliveries were natural and complication free. My first was born in a free standing birthing center with a certified nurse midwife attending. And my second was born in hospital with OB when my midwife went on vacation. It was still an awesome and natural complication free experience. I'm having my third at the same hospital but this time my midwife will be there. Even though I have no problems with my OB. He fully supports natural birth and the OBs at our hospital are very anti episiotomy. (And after witnessing a friends cut that is soo important to me) Our hospital just built a new Womens Center and I'm really looking forward to it since I've heard so many positive reports.

I'm very much a naturalist when it comes to birth...no pain meds, IVs or continuous monitoring etc.

Just thought I'd introduce myself and say hi to all the other July babies and mommas!
