It's still so early that I'm nervous to join, but thinking positive, so here I am...

EDD: July 12 +/- ?? weeks (DD was born at 40w4d)
Name: Tarasattva / Sharon
Age: 34 (will be 35 before this little one makes an appearance)
Location: Middle of the Woods, New Hampshire
Family (partner, other children, etc): DH and DD (2 in Dec)
Gender preferences/inklings: Part of me wishes for a girl (we would have all the hand-me-downs from DD and, well, I've been through the girl thing once already, it's familiar), but then part of me wishes for a boy (I come from a family of 1 girl, 1 boy and so I grew up thinking that was the "perfect" family, and well. I've been through the girl thing once and it'd be fun to try the boy route...) Clearly I'd be happy either way!
Names you like: Oh goodness, we didn't name DD until several days after she was born, not even an inkling yet
Birth Plans/Preferences: CNM in hostpital birthing center (I hope for a few small changes from DD's birth, but it was beautiful and I hope we can have something nearly as wonderful this time around).

Looking forward to getting to know all of you - now back to read what others have posted!

Is this baby #2 for you, then? Just asking to add it to the due date list, unless you'd rather not.

Making it official--the blood work said "yes" today to back up the BFP I got yesterday

EDD: July 15, 2010--BUT I am going to tell EVERYONE, including myself "end of July." I went to 42 weeks with DD, so I'm claiming the whole darn month as fair game
Name: Wavybrains/bethany
Age: 30
Location: Willamette Valley Region of Oregon
Family (partner, other children, etc): Dh (37), dd (25 months)
Gender preferences/inklings: I spent my entire pregnancy with DD convinced I was having a boy, so no clue this time. It will be an awesome surprise in 9 (10) months.
Names you like: We love debating names.
Birth Plans/Preferences: We're looking at doing another low-intervention CNM birth at the hospital we had DD at, but we're also interviewing two local birth centers.
Anything else you'd like to share: I love how so many of us will have about the 3 year age gap between siblings. I sure hope that works out well for us!

Yeah, this age split worked REALLY well between dd1 and 2. Dd1 was old enough and understanding enough to "occupy herself" (i.e., WATCH TV or I set her up with a craft) while I nursed the baby to sleep. Great age split IMHO.

Gender preferences/inklings: A boy would be nice this time around
Names you like: Haven't really put too much thought into it yet.
Birth Plans/Preferences: VBAC, the midwife centre I'm currently at only does hospital VBACs, I'm on the wait list at the one midwife centre that will consider home VBACs.

Gender preferences/inklings: I don't care just want healthy, DH wants a boy
Names you like: Dylan, Payton
Birth Plans/Preferences: I want to do a home birth but am very high risk so I can't. Going to try for a water birth at the hospital though! Fingers crossed they will let me.
Anything else you'd like to share:
I am totally shocked by this pregnancy. I went in for a pap smear and came out expecting #2!!
It's my first time here and am sooo excited

EDD: 7/2/10 -but ds was 10 day early and dd 3 weeks early- so June?
Age: 31
Location:Vermont
Family (partner, other children, etc): DH , DS (5) DD (2)
Gender Preferences: I'd really like a sister for my dd and a brother for my ds-but dh getting vasectomy sometime during preg. so 3 it is! So either is great
Birth Plan: I'll be using my same midwives to start, but not sure they do home births and I do want to consider a homebirth. (Especially since dd came in 45min Yikes!)

Hello Ladies - very excited to be joining you all!! I recognize some names from the TTC forum too!!

Location: Remote Northern Alberta, Canada
Family (partner, other children, etc): DH Cole, DS1 Nolan (4yrs) DS2 Dylan (19 months), a kitty and a hampster
Gender preferences/inklings: With two boys already, it would be nice to mix things up with a girl...but another boy would be wonderful too!!
Names you like: Haven't really decided yet.....
Birth Plans/Preferences: The closest midwife to me is 5 hours away....it's either a UC, or like my other two - a hospital birth with as few interventions as possible.

Not-so-confidently adding myself!

EDD: July 5
Name: ArtsyHeartsy
Age: 33
Location: West coast

Family (partner, other children, etc): Well, my sig just about says it all...
Gender preferences/inklings: Girl...but that might be wishful thinking, I really want my daughter to have a sister. Can't help it. Plus I would get some killer hand-me-downs! haha

Names you like: I prefer nature names for the most part, unusual names of course, but still sound and look good. (I think of words as shapes)

Birth Plans/Preferences: Hospital (not much choice around here) but as natural as possible in that setting.

Anything else you'd like to share: I am here reluctantly. Last time I intro'd in a DDC I had to bow out a couple of days later. Now that I have found out my hcg is doubling (after a drop and total freak out) I feel a little more confident, but I will not be completely confident till well into the second trimester, if ever. This will be my 6th pregnancy, and I have given birth once. So it's all scary, but I feel good.

Joining Up!

EDD: July 10, 2010
Name: Papayamom, Tracy
Age: 29
Location: Syracuse, NY
Family (partner, other children, etc): DH- Jeff Maya (7/6/04) Carolina (5/21/07)
Gender preferences/inklings: No preference either way. This is in all likelihood our last. Our girls are really close and it would be nice to have another but a boy would be good too.
Birth Plans/Preferences: Probably the same hospital I had the other two, they are pretty respectful of my choices. My ob attends all of her births and is right in line with what I want she was a real blessing last time and even reminded me to change positions and get off my back which I appreciated.
Anything else you'd like to share: Happy to be here of course, looking forward to getting to know everyone.
