What should I be when I grow up? ;)

Well, I am grown up now I suppose. But I don't really have a career. I feel like I've fallen into most of the opportunities in life instead of actually trying to achieve something. So I'm looking to work towards a specific career. One that I have chosen. I'd love your thoughts on what I should do. Currently I have a BA in Behavioural Science

My options:
1. Get my Master's in Education. Currently I'm a Native English Teacher at a kindergarten in Hong Kong. I see myself here for the next two school years. I could look at getting my MEd here in HK. I was thinking I'd actually start this next year but I'm also pregnant with my first and I'd be working full time. I am unsure how I would work this.

2. Go to Art School for photography. I really enjoy photography and I am a creative person. I sometimes see myself as a photographer and then I get exhausted by having to be such a self-starter and peeder out. I've been doing a bit of photography on the side here in HK and made it into some magazines here.

3. Become a midwife. I'm very interested in midwifery. This interest has been building over time. One concern is where I would get trained. The opportunities in Canada are limited. I'd need to look at going to school probably in New Zealand.

4. Do a Master's/PHD in Psychology. I wonder if I should pursue this more. I'm interested in art therapy and clinical psychology. My professor in university strongly suggested I pursue this.

What do you think?

Congratulations on the baby! That's great news.

Could you possibly hold off on any major life decisions for the next few years? Could you just keep doing what you are doing for now?

Things change SO much when you have a baby. The midwifery things sounds terrific, but the erratic schedule might be really tough with a child. Likewise, while additional education may be just the thing to do while the child is young, you might want to take on more debt right now.

I know it's tough and you are probably feeling unsettled, but I think it would be good to just keep things status quo right now.
