Are you in the "Up" or "Down"?

I find myself either enjoying the closeness and wisdom of dsd, or being horrified at how much her values are different from ours, and how distant she can be. These ups and downs swing back and forth about every 3-5 months. I'm not alone, am I?

I think we are on the pick up for the "up" swing at the moment. And I really don't like the idea of going back down, kwim?

Anyway... If you are in the same boat, are you in the "up" swing or the "down" swing? This growing up thing is quite magical, but I feel like I'm watching a plant growing, and I still have no idea what the flower will turn out to be.

IKWYM! w/dd16 I think we're on the down side of the "up" and w/ds14 I think were on the up side of "up". They never match- I wonder if they ever will. and would it be easier if they did- prob not so I guess having it opposite is best.
