I have a 2 year 9 month DS... and a 7 month old DS.

This is sleep and nursing related... but since it's nighttimie I figured it'd go in nighttime parenting.

The toddler goes to sleep in his bed at the beginning of the night... we have a routine of stores, nursing, rocking, and then we sit in the rocking chair and sing while he falls asleep in his bed. He wakes up at some point and comes into our bed... sometimes this is 2 hours after he first falls asleep (most often), sometimes it is 3 or 4 or even 6 (rarely). He's been 'nightweaned' for some time, except when he gets sick. When he nurses at night, he wakes CONSTANTLY to nurse and cannot stay asleep. He was sick a couple weeks ago and he is still begging to nurse all night. We tell hiim not until the sun comes up because I am nursing the infant and the toddler needs to sleep, but he throws fits which wake the infant. I'm at a total loss. I'm getting very frustrated at night and am ready to wean the toddler completely if this is what nights are going to be like. When we tell him no to nursing at night, the toddler kicks, hits, and throws fits and SCREAMS then waking the infant who I then have to nurse back to sleep. I just dont know what to do. I feel guilty for not nursing him at night but he really did sleep better when he didn't nurse at night and I can't take nursing them both all night long... this is a limit for me I have to be honest about, but I also can't deal with him waking his brother all the time. Suggestions???
