I went to my OB appointment today, against my better judgement. I'm two days "over-due" and he wants me to start bi-weekly NST's tomorrow and told me I should "Just be prepared" because next week he's planning to induce me. NOW I really don't want to go back. I went today because I was curious as to the position of the baby - the ultrasound he did this time shows she is posterior. He didn't do a cervical check and I forgot to ask about it. He didn't seem concerned that she was posterior, he thinks she could still turn and we just need some harder contractions (i.e. pit induction) to get her moving.

for you. That was very disrespectful of him.

My baby was posterior at my appointment the day before she was born and she was born anterior in less than two hours. You have had babies before! There is a little room in there. She knows how to get out. Does the doc know you are planning on staying home and UCing. I'm guessing no, but just want to be sure. As an aside, my midwife did not say that she suggested NST's that early and certainly not every two days! If he likes the way she sounds and can feel nice pockets of fluid than I'm sure all is well!

... but my last baby was a UC and posterior! I didn't know it and couldn't tell any difference! No tears and he was 8 lbs 13 oz! (my 2nd posterior baby) Hang in there and DON'T GO BACK!!!
to you. I sure hope you get through without too much harassment. Next week you won't be 42+ weeks so what's he so worried about?
