Sophie and the New Babyhttp://www.amazon.com/Sophie-New-Bab...6151964&sr=1-1
(I liked Sophie because it showed mom nursing; and it talked about how the parents spent more time with the baby, and Sophie being frustrated, and yet Sophie 'taught the baby to smile,' and I remembered feeling like Sophie with a new sibling; and I know Ina really focused on teaching SJ to smile)
Will There Be a Lap for Me?http://www.amazon.com/Will-There-Be-...6152083&sr=1-1
(I liked because, again, it shows nursing, and talks about the adjustment to a new baby -- also because it's set in an urban setting with an African-American family, I liked that diversity)

HTH .... I read about the first three books in a
Mothering article.

We talked a lot about 'when the baby comes' (not all the time, attention spans aren't so long with wee ones

) -- I would point out and discuss babies when we saw them, talked about how babies 'are,' (that they aren't very playful or sociable when they are new, and how much they really just need to be with mom at first) -- we looked at a photo album of pictures of her as a baby as well and talked about what she was like as a baby.
She adjusted pretty well. I think when dd2 was about 2 weeks old, I started taking a walk every afternoon for half an hour with "just" dd1, so she had some concentrated time with just me .... dh watched dd2 for that short time. And I'd hoped to pass bedtime with dd1 to dh, but it ended up being necessary that I do dd1's bedtime still (dh just held a sleeping dd2 during that time).
HTH!
