Going back to work and no more frozen milk!

DD is already 16 mos and I have bf'd her this entire time (and continue to). However, I'm going back to work soon and have no more frozen milk (it thawed out when we did a move from socal to norcal).

What else can her caregiver give her during the day besides frozen breastmilk??

At 16 months she could have some whole milk, water, or a bit of juice (but I wouldn't do much juice - maybe an ounce watered down). Will you be pumping at work or is this more of a long-term thing?

How often are you nursing during non-work hours? We tried to switch DD from a bottled EBM to EBM in a sippy at about 15mo and she wasn't having anything to do with THAT, so that was the end of EBM for her. She also wouldn't drink cow's milk or anything, really, except water. So she just drank water during the day and nursed when I was home. She got plenty of breastmilk in 24 hours so we just didn't worry about her other drinking. (She finally started to like cow's milk around age 2, which was also when she was down to just 3-4 nursing sessions a day.)

I know this wasn't your question, but can you pump at work? Otherwise I'd give her water or whole cow milk.
