Best soap for felted soaps?

Thread Starter
I want to get a head start on Christmas gifts and want to give out some felted soaps, but it seems to me that by the time you're done rubbing the wet wool over the soap, a lot of the bar of soap would be used. What is a longer-lasting type of soap that's good for this kind of project?

Please make a note to go with the soaps as to what kind of soap was used! Some people are allergic to certain soaps.

I think Coast is supposed to be good for this though.

I'm not sure what the best kind of soap is, but here is a good link that shows the process..
