I just ordered £450 worth of nappies!!!

For various reasons regarding the current tax rate in the uk, and a special offer on at an online store offering 15% off, I have just ordered 24 x Blueberry nappies (8 of each size S/M/L) and half of them in blue patterns (the other half in animal prints).... and whats worse is I don't even know what sex baby I am having!!!

Please tell me I am not insane, but here is the reasoning behind my choice of colour - We are planning on having at least 2 children, and to justify the cost of these gorgeous nappies, we will be using the same nappies for all of them when they are babies. I figure a little girl can wear nappies in blue patterns, but I could never possibly put a little boy in any pink nappies.

Blue berry nappies: I have ordered blue camo, green camo (on Dh's request), blue spot on chocolate, blue latte, cow, dalmation, Zebra (because of Dh's South African roots) and Black (Because of my Kiwi roots... We would like to sew a little silver fern on the bum).

So tell me can I get away with using these nappies on a little girl?

of course you can use them on a girl mama, they'll be perfect!!!

I love blueberries too. i had a few when B was small, problem for me was dh hates cloth diapering (makes me sad) and hes home w/them more than i.

i do think you'll need several more of each size though mama. i think 12 and maybe even 14 would be a good place to start. i adore them, GREAT JOB mama!!!

I'd say get a lot more smalls, a few more mediums, and hold off on large. My DD is almost 2 and nowhere near size large -- and only wearing nappies at night and sometimes for naps. Wait and see on the larger sizes.

Right, this exactly! 12-14 smalls to start and see if you need more. Honestly I had about 24 smalls alone and the rest were one size so I could even use them with the smalls.

I have 5 adorable small girls blueberries right now, brand new, but I don't think the baby's a girl. pink, yellow, purple, and 2 with circles that are girl colors and one is even a fushia color on the inside. I think I'm going to keep and use them even if the baby's a boy. Just cause their so darn cute, even if DH doesn't like them.

Thanks Mama's - I really was worried I had a moment of pregnancy insanity!

Aside from the Blueberry nappies I have 10 x organic cotton prefolds, 2 x Organic tie on nappies by 'Disana', 2x orgnaic wool covers and 3 x small Tots Bots 'Bamboozle' Bamboo fitted nappies. Seeing as the Blueberries are so very expensive I figured I would only use them for the day time and use the prefolds/other nappies with wool covers for night, and when all the Blueberries had run out.
