Detergents

Do you use a special detergent for your diapers like Crunchy Clean or Rockin Green?

I use Arm and Hammer sensitive liquid concentrate but it takes forever to rinse out. I used a small amount (less than several times before) with just the covers, but then the one that got poop on it smelled after, not the others though, just the poopy one that was clean but smelly.

I also noticed that when they don't fully rinse out he would get a slight rash on his bottom. It cleared up since I started increasing the rinse time from just 1 or 2 extra rinses to a whole cycle on hot with no detergent, then an extra rinse just to be sure. I am going to use only 1 tablespoon our next cycle just to see how it goes.

We just staarted to use crunchy clean. We heart it! Even my DH likes the smell and how soft the clothes are.

I was using Charlies soap and I wanted a scent. Charlies is good, but I like CC better. We are going to try Rockin' Green and Outlaw detergent.

Good luck!

Nope. We use Kirkland brand from Costco. We can't afford special detergent, and the Kirkland stuff has done well so far.

I use either soap nuts or All Free and Clear with great results.
