Does anyone freeze pears?

I have 2 boxes of pears from our tree, and I wondered if I can freeze them. Do you have a particular method? Thanks!

Unless you're planning on pureeing them either before or after I wouldn't recommend it.

You can make pear sauce (like applesauce) and freeze that. Or you can freeze something like a pie, but freezing really affects the texture of pears and apples.

With my excess pears, I dehydrate them, we much prefer them dried.

Thanks for the idea. I never thought of dehydrating pears! Do you put lemon juice on them to prevent browning? Or just dehydrate them as they are?

I could make fruit leather too. Now I'm excited!
