Is my baby too long to be worn in peanutshell?

Hello!

My husband and I have been trying out the peanutshell sling in the cradle carry for our 6 week old baby, and he just seems way too big. He's 23.8" ... Is this too long to be in the cradle carry? Maybe it's because he doesn't want to bend his knees up... I really want to wear him, but I just haven't been able to make it work!

The size of the pouch (and wearer) matters as much as the size of the baby. Some pouches (like New Native) are just roomier. When my little ones would start outgrowing the cradle position in a pouch, I would just hang their legs out from the knees down. When that got too cramped I would sort of stuff them in from their shoulders to their knees. When that got too cramped, we were done with cradle.

I have a large sized pouch, and I'm a little above average sized. I tried sitting him with his legs hanging out, and he got mad...
