The subject says it all. I found a bunch of clothespins and I'd like to make something with them, maybe for Christmas. Please share your clothespin crafts!

Are they the springy kind or the clippy kind?

I got some scrapbooking supplies and decorated each one with a letter from our last name, a Christmas tree or present, etc. I put a magnet on the back and used them to hang the photos that came in Christmas cards on the fridge! I like them so much that they've been up there (minus the really festive ones) since Christmas last year!

They're the springy kind. I do have a bunch of the clippy kind too, though. I have been using them by painting dolls on them, but if you have more ideas I'd love them!

Have you seen Paint Ideas? The site has lot of fun everyday and holiday craft ideas. I am an advocate, you can also upload photos of your own projects.

There's always clothespin reindeer. Ours on our tree growing up had been painted brown first.

Google Clothespin crafts - I found lots of cute ideas!

I know this is an old thread, but this technique can work for any time!

I use those 3M adhesive blobs (the ones that you are supposed to put an ugly white hook on the wall, and they pull off undamaged later) on my woodwork and walls, and instead of sticking the hook, stick clothespins. I can hang up the pairs of mittens, notes for school on the door, pretty artwork on the french doors...and when winter's over, down come the glove clippies. That way I get to display the artwork that comes home from school and not feel like i have to KEEP all of it.

I used to wrap the "clippy" kind with embordary floss as a kid and make little dolls
