Question about Blendtec/VitaMix

I am wodering about how it "juices". My juicer is dead and I just bought 10 pounds of carrots. I started to think about the fancy blenders and wondered do they really juice or is the end resule more of a puree? I imagine carrot juice to be more like carrot puree coming from one of said blenders. So will I still need a juicer? I have actually been waiting for my juicer to die, now just waiting for my blender to stop working, so I can justify buying an expensive blender. Of course I have to wait until the roadshow comes to my Costco to get the best deal with the lifetime return policy, hopefully my blender will go next time they are in town.

My Vitamix blends/purees. I love it for that reason - it leaves all the good stuff in
There are recipes to make juice in the Vitamix but it really isn't a juicer. It makes amazing smoothies.

Yeah, the vitamix doesn't juice, it purees. If your OK with that its great, if you want real juice its not what your lookin for! But, its a great blender!!
