My DH took an ambien of mine one time (this is before I got crunchified) and I can attest that he had several...um...side effects....that he has no recollection of. It made for an odd evening.

I watch those while eating food loaded with butter. It cracks me up that they say, "back then we didn't know much about saturated fat and cholesterol". Um, you apparently still don't.

The Gardasil ones make me want to barf.

Or how about the NFL commercials advertising to find a way to get kids to "play for 60 minutes a day". Are you kidding me??? What is wrong with this world if we have to go online to figure out ideas of how to get kids to play. Oy.

The Quizzno (sp?) commerical's where the oven is talking to the employee and there are all kinds of sexual innuendos creeps me out.

The worst commerical I ever saw (well heard, it was on the radio) was a Burger Kind commerial comparing a man's desire for a hamburger to a woman's time of the month this was right about the time I was have horrible mood swings/ anxiety 2 weeks out of every month because of my period. I do not eat burger king anymore...

Gardasil commerical's = :Puke

LMAO I know, right? That is so true!

Tylenol commercials - they show all those naked people who cringe in pain, it's just creepy.

Walmart Halloween commercial - all those nasty candies and then children's Tylenol to cure the achy tummy

Flu shot commercials- Walgreens, CVS - BARF!

Johnson & Johnson baby wash - a voice from the off says "Your doctor's guidance, your mother's advice, your instincts" - right, cause what my doc and mom say is more important than my mother's instinct.

All the formula and diaper ads in parenting magazines... Patronizing and borderline-shameless lies.

DH hates this one. He thinks it looks like NFL players are kidnapping kids.

These are hilarious (hideous?)

I hate hate HATE walmart commercials.

And 'junk' convenience food commercials. Because all it takes for your kid to like you (the idiot parent) is handing them corn syrup filled hydrogenated CRAP after a day at the 'miserable' school LEARNING things (oh the horrors ).

I mean, I'm an ardent homeschooler and I hate how that's depicted, ykwim?

Am I the only one who hates the Geico gecko more than anything else, even the drug commercials?

Any commercial with Brooke Shields- there are a few! Colgate Total, Latisse ("How's that possible?") and the worst one- the Volkswagen commercial she did- people having babies just to buy cars. Dumb. I think she has sold her soul to the commercial devil.

I've never thought of it that way!

I thought of another. The pop-tart commercials..."they rise and you make them shine" by giving them pop-tarts?!?!? They're put out there like they're a healthy food because they're strawberry flavored? Geesh.

The commercials for Free Credit Report infuriate me, specifically this one with the young guy playing his guitar and singing:

"Well I married my dream girl,
Yeah, I married my dream girl.
But she didn't tell me her credit was bad.
So instead of living in a pleasant suburb,
We're living in the basement at her mom and dad's.
We can't get a loan
For a respectable home
All because my girl defaulted on some old credit cards.
If I had visited Free Credit Report.com,
I'd be a happy Bachelor with a dog and a yard."

Like a woman is nothing more than her credit score, and she's standing between him and material happiness. Even my DH, who is typically oblivious to sexism and objectification of women in commercials and the media is offended by this one!

I can't stand the ridiculously scary ones, lately! They are on during regular hours and NFL games that we watch with our children. One is the latest zombie movie, the other is SAW, oh and "stepdad" is AWFUL! They scare the crap out of me - let alone the kids!! We have to have the remote handy and change the channel during commercials.

They are so scary and inappropriate that I went online to find a place to complain to the NFL. But then I found a bunch of people complaining about commercials with underwear (cartoon family guy) and I decided that I guess I can't endorse any censorship! But boy would I rather see (and have my kids see) Janet Jackson's bra than people being brutally murdered!!

I hate the scary ones too. I always tell the kids to cover their eyes if something really scary or inappropriate comes on.

I hate the walmart commercials where "You can make a meal for less than $10!" (or whatever it is)

Big deal...I average $3 and I shop at kroger....AND have leftovers.

Oh and the manwich and spaghettios commercials claiming there's a full serving of veggies....ok....some tomato paste in there doesn't make it "healthy". Yick.

i thought of some more too.

1. the old gatorade one where people would sweat gatorade. so gross. and it made that slightly salty taste in gatorade make me think of sweat from then on out.

2. has anyone seen the one put out by one of the big agro companies that is basically talking about how great HFCS is? the one I saw was people at a picnic talking about how stupid it is that people are avoiding hfcs- "It's corn! Thats natural!"

Oh, I forgot all about those "HFCS is OK" ones! Yuck!

That Fabreeze commercial where the mom is telling her son to wash his room.

For some reason it reminds me of the old english dubbed karate movies.

Voices are weird.
Kid is weird.
Mom running around "cleaning" while he's sitting on the bed on the laptop is weird.
Him in the bedroom with a bunch of girl coming over is weird.

The whole commercial is just weird to me...

YES! Add to the weirdness that his name is Carl.

Or how about the AT&T rollover minutes commercial where the teenage boy looks like he's in his upper 20's.

I don't watch TV anymore since my digital recorder doesn't work so the only ads I see are print ads, online ads, and ads on Hulu.

ITA with the Brooke Shields Latisse ad. It creeps me out to no end that there is a prescription drug to lengthen eyelashes. And that people will buy it because Brooke Sheilds is hawking it.

I see I'm not the only one creeped out by the Charmin ads with the TP stuck to the bears butt.

There was a print ad awhile back for J&J baby wash. It said something like "to make the whole family sleep better" It showed the baby sleeping alone in its crib and in the background you could see the parents sleeping in the other room with the dog on the foot of their bed. As if it made the dog sleep better too.

My mom actually sent me the lotion version with a note about Frankie sleeping better. I laughed.

I'm also tired of hearing about: Erectile Dysfunction, periods, and peeing on pregnancy tests.

Yes, yes, yes. And yeast infections. Some things just should NOT be on the air.
