Help with Excell!

I so hate this program it's not even funny.

I am currently doing a project in school that requires me to graph my information from the first part of the project. I've gotten everything on there (though I can't guarentee it's done in the right formatting ) but am having a hard time with my horizontal axis.

I have 12 categories that belong on it and each category has 2 parts (I'm plotting % change from two months so each category has a bar/column for 2 diff. months). I have all my columns on there (fwiw I have to use a 3-d clustered column) but they are only showing as one category. I have tried to add in my other 11 and it won't add them. I can only have one category currently. There are no spaces between my columns to indicate (to the computer or a person looking at it) that there is more than one category.

So, how do I change that? I have spent 3ish days trying to figure it out and have had my sister helping me as well. We cannot see where to put this change in!?

wanna send me the file?
It's the way you have it in columns/rows, I think. Break it down more than you have it. Copy and paste to make it easier to move data.
You'll need to have it like:
........08..09
Jan....3....4
Feb....6....7

I would love to send it to you! Let me know where to send it. Like I said, I'm not sure the data that is currently even in there is in there correctly. It works but I'm not sure how much clicking around on this file the teacher will do to make sure we did it "right".

In the future for Excel help trying asking for help at MrExcel.com There are lots of VERY helpful nice people there and they would be happy to answer any questions. I've been pretty stuck a few times and can often get answers within minutes.
