How do you wipe with an older LO?

Just wondering how you wipe your older babe who still needs help. Hannah generally goes potty in her BBLP that is on the bathroom counter. (Sometimes she'll use one that's on the floor, and of course sometimes she goes wherever she thinks is a good place to go. For the most part it's the one on the counter.) So I pick her up off of that (let her see her poop if she's pooped) and kind of hold her like I did when I held her to go potty. Just wondering what others do!

I'm not sure how to describe it. I hold her over the pot or she sits on a bblp when she is done I dangle her over one arm while getting the tissue w/ the other and then wipe. I do the same with pee.

so i'm a yoga teacher, and my kids do yoga with me. so i have always told them "down dog!" after they go potty, and the bend over with their hands on the floor a bit forward of their feet, and then i wipe them. they think it's fun and it makes the area very easily accessible for wiping purposes. the only time we don't do that is if we're in a public toilet, in which case i either have them lean forward while still sitting on the potty and reach in behind them, or else if it's a smaller toddler, i lay them over my arm and wipe with the other hand.

I lay her face-down over my knee, with my foot propped up on the toilet, and wipe her that way. But I love pixiepunk's idea. We don't really do yoga but DD does do downward dog...she just randomly started doing it one day...and we call it her "yoga baby." LOL. I might start having her do that instead!

Oh, and I still sometimes use the changing table for wiping after poo. I wipe with toilet paper first and then finish off with one of our cloth wipes, which I keep on the changing table.

We have one bblp in our computer room and one in our living room, so we pick dd up off of it & lay her down on the floor on her back like for a regular diaper change. Lift legs, wipe, re-dress, done.

My kid is the same age as yours and when she is done pottying, she gets off the toilet and she stands while I wipe her. She usually leans into my thigh as I do this so she is a bit hinged at the hips which makes it easier to access for wiping.

I sit on the edge of the bathtub or on the toilet myself and lay DS across my knees (one leg under his neck-ish, the other just above his bum).

He's actually surprisingly stable there, to the point where I can even reach over him to grab some tp while keeping my other hand on him for safety. (Of course the toilet paper roll is to the left of the bathtub when I'm right-handed .)

All of the above, plus:
frantically as he runs away

as best I can while he practices wiping too

in front of a mirror, holding him with his side against my side, with one of my hands supporting his outer thigh, so that knee bends, and he gets to watch exactly where the wiping is happening, and what the clean result looks like (I hope that image makes sense)

How old is older? When DD turn 9 mos and started to stand supported, I started her holding on to my shirt or shoulders and I wipe with her standing up. She is still too little for down dog, but I will keep that in mind.

DS is 28 months. He only ever poops in the same place, so he gets up off his potty and leans across the (closed, covered with one of those fuzzy things) toilet and I wipe him.
