Anyone use prefolds at night?

i'm so over fuzzi bunz and BGOS - they all freaking leak out the legs! I love my thirsties and bummis super brite covers and they never leak for me so I'm thinking I'd like to use those at night but not sure if I'm crazy to expect a prefold to contain 12 hours worth of pee

i used to use the chinese prefolds overnight with my kids, and i would throw in a couple of fleece liners. i don't recall a lot of leaking, if any really.

i'm new at this (lo is a week today) but we haven't had any problems with chinese prefolds and wool diaper covers over night.

i snappi on a prefold, the trifold one and shove it in there too. works great.

I use pf's exclusively with my lo. At night we use a larger pf (toddler size) and some doublers. Her night-time combo would not fit under her regular covers that we use during the day, so I have covers that are larger, and just for night-time. You may want to seriously think about a wool cover for night-time. Pair a wool cover with a quality pf and a good doubler and you will probably not have any leaks at all. Hemp doublers are great--they're trim and absorbant. Good luck!!

CPFs will hold up fine overnight as long as you have a good cover, but I agree with pp about putting something between the baby and the diaper because they do get really soaked and it keeps baby pretty wet.

We use prefolds exclusively. At night I do a normal prefold & a smaller one inside. Never a problem with leaks.

I use pfs with Bummis covers at night with my 17mo and have never had a problem.

I've always had the best luck with prefolds and covers. We use a hemp doubler with ours and are good to go.

we use a prefold from gmd and a doubler or whatever soaker i have laying around that i happen to grab. then i put on a cover and wool longies. never a leak!

with a wool or really thick fleece cover you should be fine with pfs. but my lo doesn't seem to really mind the wet feeling. if yours does. a peace of fleece between dipe and baby could help.
i have done a gpiaper insert inside a snappi'd pf, too. (thats our travel combo too)

Our normal night diaper is a pf and a doubler with either a thirsties or bummies cover. I've recently started adding a fleece liner to combat some rash issues we were having.

With our little guy, we usually use a pf with a doubler and a thristies cover. I don't think that's leaked for us yet and he's 11 wks, so I'm happy with that!

He's leaked twice and both times it was when I tried to use a pocket at night.

We use pockets or fitteds with my older son.

There's tons of options, really! But prefolds is a great one.

I do that, or I use a prefold for the next size up (it's basically doubled in front right now). He is pretty soaked in the morning, but the Thirsties cover contains it.
